PALM BEACH, Fla. – Florian Kolberg of Germany won for the first time on the Minor League Golf Tour with a five under par 76 over 27 holes Thursday at the Palm Beach Par 3 Golf Club.
Making his 66th start since joining the MLGT in November, 2015, Kolberg scored a three under par 24 on the back nine then consecutive one under 26's playing the front once and the back a second time. Overall, he made eight birdies and three bogeys, receiving $750 from the $3,430 purse. This raised his career MLGT earnings to $4,421 in a month short of five years.
Justin Peters of Stuart shot 77 to finish second among 27 staters and was actually the day’s leading money winner with $838.67. That included $530 from the main purse, $232 from an optional bonus pool and $76.67 from the skins game. He made six birdies and a double bogey at the fourth hole.

The Joey D Golf Match Play Championship starts Monday on the Estate course at PGA National. The top 32 from Monday's qualifying/seeding round will move on to Match Play Tuesday morning.
