WESTON, Fla. – Michael Graboyes of Watchung, NJ, and Palm Beach Gardens, FL, the younger of two brothers on the Minor League Golf Tour, did not make a bogey Monday enroute to his fourth win.
While older brother Luke Graboyes, 26, was trying to qualify for the Korn Ferry Tour event in Louisiana, Michael, 25, made six birdies for 66 on the Players course at THe Club at Weston Hills to win by one shot, earning $1,000 from the $5,655 purse. His birdies were at the par-5 11th and 16th holes, the par-4 second, fifth and 14th, and the par-3 13th.
The Graboyes brothers teamed up to win the MLGT’s Par 3 Team Trilogy in December, 2019 at the Palm Beach Par 3 Golf Club.
Tied for second at 67 among the 44 starters in the MLGT’s 27th event of the year were Tim Hegarty, Briarcliff Manor, NY, and Peter French, Franklin, MA, each with six birdies and a bogey, and Jonathan Yates of Dublin, Ireland, five birdies.
