JUPITER, Fla. - Alex Vogelsong (a) from Palm City, FL overcame a lone bogey on #4 with 6 birdies en route to 66 and his first win on the MLGT. Vogelsong played his collegiate golf at Auburn University and looks to have a promising professional future ahead of him. He earned $1,000 from the $5,776 purse. First place was $1,025 but the maximum an amateur can receive per USGA rules is $1,000 so the extra $25 went to 2nd place.
Korn Ferry Tour member Billy Kennerly and Daniel O'Rourke tied for 2nd one behind at 67. They each earned $665. Kennerly added $200 from the optional bonus pool.
