ATLANTIS, Fla. - Billy Kennerly from Alpharetta, GA was close to 59 watch when he chipped in for eagle on the 12th hole to get to 9-under par. He would cool off coming down the last 6 holes adding 2 bogies and 1 more birdie. His 8-under par 64 was one better than playing partner Ethan Marcus who tried hard to catch the red hot Kennerly.
Kennerly's 3rd win on the MLGT was worth $1,000 from the $5,055 purse plus $232 from the optional bonus pool for a total of $1,232.
Marcus earned $710 for the solo 2nd. Amateur Justin Grondahl and William Hartford tied for 3rd at 68.
Kennerly has been sidelined with injuries and took a medical leave from the Korn Ferry Tour. He says he is almost ready to head back to the KFT. Good luck on your return Billy!
