BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Gavin Hall from Pittsford, NY fired 130 (66-64) to win back to back events and 4 of his last 5 starts. The one event he did not win was a runner up finish in the Match Play Championship. Here playing the Red/Blue course at Westchester CC Hall was tied with first round leader Kevin Johnson (a) with two to play. The 17th hole is a 400 yard par-4 around a lake. However it's 315 yards to carry on line with the green. Hall hit driver to 20 feet and made the eagle putt to go ahead by one which led to victory.

Hall earned $2,100 from the $12,200 purse. Amateur Kevin Johnson was 2nd alone after rounds of 64-67. 2nd place was $1,550 but the maximum Kevin was allowed to accept was $1,000 per USGA rules the the remaining $550 was distributed throughout the rest of the purse to the other players that earned a check.
In a second day shootout Thursday among players who shot 72 or higher Wednesday, Rodrigo Lee won $177 with a final round score of 65.
BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Amateur Kevin Johnson made 7 birdies and an eagle en route to 64 and a two shot lead after day one at Westchester Country Club. Johnson has two 2nd place finishes on the MLGT and will be looking to better that tomorrow.
Evan Katz and Gavin Hall will enter the final round two back after matching 6-under par 66's in round one. Hall lost in the finals of the Match Play Championship last week and won the 1-day event on Monday this week.

There is an optional $50 2nd day shootout for players at 72 and higher. 100% of the entry goes into the purse and the top 33% and ties will earn a check. If you’d like to participate you must sign up and pay online before the first tee time on Thursday.
