LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Carter Page from Waynesville, NC made a hole in one in regulation then birdied the first playoff hole to earn his 5th win on the MLGT. Page, Raoul Menard, Fran Quinn and Angus Flanagan tied in regulation at 6-under par 65. On the first playoff hole all four men had looks for birdie from inside 20 feet. After Quinn and Menard missed from 20 and 18 feet, Page made his birdie bid from 15 feet. Flanagan had about 14 feet for birdie to extend the playoff and he missed just on the high side.
Page earned $1,225 from the $9,290 purse plus $186.67 from the bonus pool for a total of $1,411.67.
After birding 7 and 8, Page made a hole in one on the 189 yard par-3 9th with a 7 iron! He would then add birdies on 11 and 17.
Today's event was the second of three this week that make up 2023 Monday Qualifier Contest #7 presented by Abacoa Golf Club. The player with the lowest cumulative score for the three events wins a $1k bonus to go compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour.
