CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Jamie Sindelar from Horseheads, NY survives difficult rainy conditions to earn his 20th win on the MLGT at The Country Club of Coral Springs. After both days were heavily impacted with thunderstorms the event was shortened to 22 holes when the course became flooded on day two. He opened with a 6-under par 64 which found him tied for the lead with recent Auburn grad Alex Vogelsong. During the final round Sindelar was even par through 4 holes when play was halted for the day. Vogelsong was one over par through 4 holes. MLGT policy states that once an event is official (at least half of the scheduled starting holes, 18 of 36 in this case, the event is official and all holes that every player completes will count). So with all players completing 4 holes during the final round the event became a 22 hole event.
Sindelar earned $1,700 from the $8,420 purse for the win. Vogelsong earned $1,350 plus $445 from the bonus pool and a $64 skin for a total of $1,859.
Sindelar has fond memories of CC of Coral Springs. One of his MLGT Major victories came right here in 2017 where he shot 132 (68-64) and took home the $10k first place check.
