PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Domenico Geminiani from Lugo, Italy had to make a 12 foot birdie putt on the final hole to hold off a hard charging Aram Matias Yenidjeian. Geminiani was two shots ahead for most of the final round until Yenidjeian birdied 15 then chipped in for birdie on 17 to get within one. Both hit quality second shots on the par-4 18th to give themselves makable putts for birdie. Domenico was first from 12 feet and he made it for the win. Aram made his 5 foot birdie putt and finished solo 2nd at 137.
Geminiani earned $2,481.34 for his 9th win on the MLGT. Yenidjeian earned $1,553.34 and is still looking for his first win.
Wolmer Murillo was 3rd alone after rounds of 70-69. He earned $1,120 and is very close to earning his first win after his last couple weeks of good golf.
In a second day shootout Tuesday among players who shot 75 or higher Wednesday, Jake Valentine won $183 with a final round score of 70.
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Nicklas Staub from Boynton Beach, FL had a 7 hole stretch that he played 5-under par on holes 11-17 which led to his opening round 67 and the lead by one entering the final round. Staub did not make a bogey and will look to do the same on Thursday.
Domenico Geminiani has been playing some good golf and knocking on the door for his 9th win on the MLGT. He enters the final round just one back. Aram Matias Yenidjeian, a talented 23 year old from Argentina will round out the final pairing.
