LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Michael Sweeney from Enfield, CT birdied the first playoff hole to outlast talented amateur Alex Zurat after the two men tied at 4-under par 67 on the West course at Fountains CC. Playing in the group in front of Zurat, Sweeney made a 10 foot birdie putt on 18 to post 67. Zurat narrowly missed his long birdie bid on the last for the win. On the first playoff hole Zurat's tee shot found the out of bounds left leaving the door open. Sweeney hit his 2nd shot on the par 4 to 15 feet and rolled in the birdie putt to earn his 19th win on the MLGT.

Sweeney earned $800 from the $2,910 purse plus $100 from the bonus pool and $52.50 in skins for a total of $952.50. Zurat earned $580 for the 2nd place finish and is still looking for his first win.
