JUPITER, Fla. – Brian Anderson of Jupiter survived a bogey on the final hole Monday at the Jupiter Country Club to score a Fuzion-Minor League Golf Tour victory, his 10th this year and 14th overall.
Anderson edged Steve LeBrun of West Palm Beach, 66 to 67. Anderson eagled the par-5 fourth hole and birdied Nos. 7, 9, 10, 16 and 17 before closing with bogey at the par-4 18th. LeBrun had six birdies, none after the 14th hole, and bogeyed the par-4 seventh.
Anderson earned $800 from the $4,270 purse. LeBrun, second among 35 starters in the MLGT’s 112th tournament this year, received $555. LeBrun has 24 career wins.
Jimmy Lytle was solo third with a four under par 68, one shot ahead of Brett Bergeron and Jason Carin who tied for fourth place. Jesse Larson, Jacob Korb, Brenton Flynn, and Jimmy Hazen shot 70 and finished in a four way tie for sixth.
Two more MLGT tournaments are scheduled this week: Wednesday, Fountains CC-West, Lake Worth, and Thursday, Links at Madison Green, Royal Palm Beach.
There was $140 in the skins pot with 5 skins out worth $28 each.
