PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Eric Andrews of Syracuse, Ind., scored his first Fuzion Minor League Golf Tour victory in his second start by posting a six under par 66 Thursday on the Estate course at PGA National.
Andrews, 26, made seven birdies (Nos. 1, 5, 10, 11, 15, 17 and 18) and a bogey at the par-4 16th hole, winning by one shot over a 48-player field. He earned $950 from the $5,815 purse.
Jimmy Gascoigne and Champions Tour hopefull Warren Jurkowitz tied for second place at 5-under par 67 followed by Eric Beringer, Chris Damiano, Jim Fitzpatrick and Kyle Willmann with 68.
The MLGT returns to the Estate course for a two-day tournament Sept. 15-16 after an 18-hole event Monday on the South course at Fountains CC, Lake Worth.
There was $200 in the skins pot with 3 skins out worth $66.67 each.
