Course Record 63 Gives Nick Latimer a 3 Shot Victory

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Nick Latimer of Brooklyn, Ohio, fired a new course record of eight under par 63 Monday to earn his third victory on the Fuzion Minor League Golf Tour.

Latimer made three birdies and a bogey going out, an eagle at the 12th hole and four birdies for 30 on the inward nine. He earned $650 from the $2,790 purse.

The Dick Wilson-designed municipal course, opened in 1947, underwent extensive renovations by Mark McCumber last year. Josh McCumber was second with a five under par 66, followed by Aaron Murphy with a 4-under par 67.

The MLGT’s 77th tournament of the year drew 23 entries. Next on the schedule: Wednesday, Eagle course at President CC, West Palm Beach, and Thursday, Abacoa GC, Jupiter.

There was $80 in the skins pot with 6 out worth $13.34 each.
