JUPITER, Fla. – Jimmy Lytle of Ocean Ridge birdied the first extra hole Monday to earn his 29th career title on the Fuzion-Minor League Golf Tour. After he tied at four under par 68 with Devin Kay of Boca Raton and Potomac, Md., at Jupiter Country Club, Lytle made a four footer for the win moments after Kay two-putted for par from 30 feet.
In regulation, Lytle made seven birdies and three bogeys while Kay had six and two, respectively. Lytle received $700 from the $3,517 purse. Kay, second among 29 players, collected $500. It was Lytle’s fifth win this year while Kay is still looking for his first all-time on the MLGT.
The MLGT has two more tournaments this week, its 74th and 75th of its eighth season: Wednesday, The Evergreen Club, Palm City, and Thursday: Jacaranda GC-East, Plantation.
There was $180 in the skins pot with 6 skins out worth $30 each.
