PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - Brett Stegmaier earned his 30th win on the MLGT on the 4th playoff hole against talented amateur Andrew Riley. In regulation both men tied at 6-under par 61 on the Match course at PGA National. They halved the first three playoff holes with pars then Riley's tee shot found the OB on the 4th leading to the win for Stegmaier.
Stegmaier earned $1,400 from the $9,808 purse plus $222 from the bonus pool for a total of $1,622. The maximum that Riley can earn per USGA rules is $1,000 so $42 of his 2nd place check was distributed throughout the remainder of the purse per MLGT policy.
Today's event was the final of three this week that make up 2025 Monday Qualifier Contest #1 presented by Abacoa Golf Club. The player with the lowest cumulative score for the three events wins a $1k bonus to go compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour. Olin Browne Jr's 3-day cumulative total of 196 (66-66-64) earned him a $1k bonus to go compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour.
