STUART, Fla. - 22 year old amateur Andrew Riley fires 66 at The Champions Club to earn his 4th win on the MLGT. He overcame his only bogey of the day on the 5th with birdies on 1,2,7,8,9,11 and 12 for a two shot win over Austin Schultz. First place was $1,100 but per USGA rules the maximum Riley can receive is $1,000 so the remaining $100 was distributed throughout the remainder of the purse.
Riley won the Division II National Championship in 2023 while playing for Palm Beach Atlantic University. He recently transferred to University of North Carolina to finish his last year of college golf.
Today's event was the first of three this week that make up 2025 Monday Qualifier Contest #2 presented by Abacoa Golf Club. The player with the lowest cumulative score for the three events wins a $1k bonus to go compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour. Here is how we stand entering the second event at Eagle Trace GC.
