ATLANTIS, Fla. - Austin Schultz from Fort Myers, FL birdied the final hole for a 7-under par 65 and a one shot win over Leon Fricker. Fricker was a few groups behind Schultz and after a bogey on the 17th came to the par-5 finishing hole needing an eagle to force a playoff. He had a short chip shot for his 3rd but it would miss just left of the hole. Schultz earned $820 for his first win on the MLGT. Fricker who won the event earlier this week finished 2nd alone and earned $692.
Amateur Alex Zurat was 3rd alone after a round of 68 and earned $420.
Monday Qualifier Contest #4 presented by Abacoa Golf Club starts Monday. The player with the lowest cumulative score for the three 1-day events at Fountains CC, Abacoa GC and Hammock Creek GC will earn a $1k bonus to go compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or the Korn Ferry Tour.
