WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Blair Bursey from Gander, NL, Canada took the lead after two early birdies in the final round and never looked back. He eagled the par-5 finishing hole to cap off a great two days of golf and a four shot win. Bursey did not make a bogey in 36 holes and made 9 birdies and an eagle. He earned $2,400 from the $12,081 purse for his first win on the MLGT.
Red hot Nicklas Staub was 2nd alone at 135 and earned $2,013.34 which included skin money. Garrett Barber was 3rd a 136 and earned $2,039.67 which included bonus pool and skin money.
In a second day shootout Tuesday among players who shot 72 or higher Monday, Mark Brant won $150 with a final round score of 72.
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Nicklas Staub and Blair Bursey share the opening round lead on the Estate course at PGA National after matching 6-under par 65's. Staub has been playing great as of late but Bursey and the rest of the field will try to overtake him during Tuesday's final round.
Garrett Barber rounds out the final pairing and will enter the final round two behind the co-leaders.
