
JUPITER, Fla. - On his 19th birthday, amateur Talan Wilkes makes a 25 footer for birdie at the last to win by one over Michael Sweeney at Abacoa Golf Club. Playing in the same group Wilkes and Sweeney came to the last tied at 3-under par. Both hit solid 2nd shots on the par-4 to 28 and 25 feet. Sweeney was first to putt from 28 feet and just barely missed on the low side. Wilkes was next from 25 feet and knocked it in for the win.

First place was $1,050. Per USGA rules Wilkes can accept $1,000. The extra $50 was distributed throughout the reamining players that earned a check per MLGT policy.
Sweeney earned $975 for the solo 2nd place finish which included bonus pool and skin money, Shrewsbury earned $809 for the 3rd place finish.
Qualifying School Contest #4 presented by Britto & Herman Injury Lawyers starts tomorrow on the Fazio course at PGA National. Someone will earn a $5k bonus to go towards the Q-School entry fee of their choice.
