Will Coleman defends home turf AGAIN with 67, wins by 2 shots
5 players tie for 2nd place at 3-under par 69
Thursday, September 8, 2016

JUPITER, Fla. - Will Coleman from Palm Beach Gardens, FL, bogeyed his final hole to shoot a 5-under par 67 but it didn't matter because he had a 3 shot lead entering the final hole. Coleman started out hot by birding 7 of the first 14 holes on Thursday at Jupiter Country Club. He bogeyed 2 of the last 3 but he still won by 2 shots over the 5 players that had already posted 3-under par 69's.

Coleman, 33, earned $400 in this unique low cost $100 entry fee event. It drew 33 starters. There was also an optional $100 bonus pool. 10 players chose to enter the bonus pool creating a prize pool of $1,000. Coleman won the bonus pool to add $400 to his winners check earning him a total of $800 for the win.

Coleman is one of the Assistant Golf Professionals at Jupiter Country Club so there was a little added pressure to defend home turf at a course he plays regularly. The Minor League Golf Tour has played 2 events this year at Jupiter Country Club and Coleman has won both times.

The Minor League Golf Tour's final WEB.com Q-School Contest is just 4 days away. The contest is comprised of back to back 2-day events. The first half will be held at PGA National Fazio Course on 9/12-13 and the second half will be held at Seagate Country Club on 9/14-15. The Minor League Golf Tour is guaranteeing a full paid entry into 2016 Web.com Q-school for the low 4-day score of those players entered in the contest. If more than 25 players participate in the contest, the extra money will go towards the 2nd place finisher's (in the contest) 2016 Web.com Q-school entry. The first 2-day event entry is $390, the 2nd 2-day entry fee is $290, and the Web.com Q-School contest entry fee is $200. Both of the 2-day events will have prize pools and optional skins games and optional bonus pools.

If you've already signed up and paid for Q-School you CAN still play in the contest. If you win, the Minor League Golf Tour will reimburse you for your Q-School entry fee. If you don't go to Q-School this year you CAN STILL PLAY in the Q-School contest. If you win, the Minor League Golf Tour will pay your entry fee into next year's Q-School.

If you have any questions about the contest please call Tournament Director Scott Turner at (561)598-9630.
