CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Evan Katz from Washington, DC fired a course record tying 10-under par 60 to lead the field by three shots after day one at CC of Coral Springs. Katz started out by birdying the first 5 holes, then birdied 10 and eagled the par-5 14th to get to 8-under par. His only bogey of the day came at the par-3 15th but he closed with birdies on 16, 17 and 18 for 60!
Ian Taggart and Shane Bryant are tied for 2nd after opening rounds of 63 and will round out the final group for Tuesday's final round.

There is an optional $50 2nd day shootout for players at 68 and higher. 100% of the entry goes into the purse and the top 33% and ties will earn a check. If you'd like to participate you must sign up and pay online before the first tee time on Tuesday (8:00am).
