NORTH PALM BEACH, Fla. – Jacob Korb of Jupiter scored a two-putt par on the first playoff hole Monday at North Palm Beach Country Club to record victory on the Fuzion Minor League Golf Tour.
Korb outlasted Jimmy Lytle of Ocean Ridge after they tied at two under par 69. In regulation, Korb made five birdies, three bogeys and parred the last three holes. Lytle bogeyed 16 and 17 but birdied the par-5 18th, then bogeyed the extra hole.
It was Korb’s sixth MLGT victory, two of which came last month, one at North Palm Beach. He earned $800 from the $4,270 purse. Lytle, who has 22 MLGT wins, received $550.
Corey Brigham from Port St. Lucie, FL and Stephen Grant of Birr, Ireland tied for second place with 1-under par 70.
There was $140 in the skins pot with 5 skins out worth $28 each
