Michael Sweeney of Enfield, CT wins 2025 Monday Qualifier Contest #5 presented by Abacoa Golf Club with a 3-day cumulative score of 200 (69-65-66). The contest consisted of the three days of events played this week at The Cape Club and Atlantic National GC.
Sweeney came to the last hole with a one shot lead over Nicklas Staub. Sweeney had a birdie putt to win that just barely missed. Staub would convert his 5 footer for birdie to force a playoff. On the first playoff hole (par 5) both players had eagle putts. Sweeney made his from 25 feet and Staub missed just low from 22 feet to extend.
Sweeney wins a $1,000 bonus for his fine play this week to go compete in a Monday Qualifier on the PGA Tour or Korn Ferry Tour.
