LAKE WORTH, Fla. - J.F. Aber from Pittsburgh, PA fires a 7-under par 64 on the West course at Fountains Country Club to win by one and earn his first professional victory. He overcame his lone bogey on the par-3 13th with six birdies in a row from holes 7-12 and holes 3 and 15. He earned $1,500 from the $12,397 purse plus $233 from the bonus pool and a $180 skin for a total of $1,913.
Freddy D'Angelo and talented 16 year old amateur Grayson Baucom tied for 2nd one shot behind after rounds of 65. Because Baucom is an amateur the maximum he is allowed to accept is $1,000. Between the regular purse, skins and bonus pool he earned $1,333 so per MLGT policy the extra $333 was distributed throughout the remainder of the players that earned a check.
Next on the schedule is a 36 hole event Wed-Thurs at Banyan Creek Golf Club in Palm City.
